Carey brings extensive expertise in healthcare administration, operations, and strategic growth, aligned with LANES’ mission to expand and advance whole person care across California
LOS ANGELES, June 10, 2025 — LANES, a California Qualified Health Information Organization (QHIO), today announced the appointment of Alex Carey to its board, expanding the organization’s operational expertise as it continues to scale its capabilities and broaden its service areas. Her experience managing complex systems and driving organizational transformation positions her to contribute meaningfully to the growth and advancement of LANES.

Carey brings over 15 years of experience in healthcare administration, operations, and strategic growth to her current role as Chief Operations Officer (COO) of MedPOINT Management. She oversees the claims, utilization management, compliance, IT, and strategy teams, which collectively scale operations, modernize infrastructure, and guide the organization through an increasingly complex healthcare environment.

Before serving as COO, Carey was Vice President of Operations, overseeing claims operations and strategy at MedPOINT Management. She holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson and a Master of Public Health in Health Management and Policy from Drexel University.
