Addition will strengthen LANES’ clinical and regional expertise for its participants, which serve 14.5 million patients across California
LOS ANGELES, May 7, 2026 — LANES, a Qualified Health Information Organization (QHIO), today announced the appointment of Evan Raff, MD, MHA, director of specialty care at the LA Health Services, to its board. Dr. Raff is a mission-driven physician executive who is dual board-certified in radiology and clinical informatics and has experience driving organizational transformation in healthcare.
“Dr. Raff has long been a critical partner to LANES as we have grown in Southern California, helping connect one of the nation’s largest public health systems to health and social service providers across the region,” said Ali Modaressi, CEO of LANES. “His leadership, expertise, and deep understanding of complex health systems make him a great addition to our board. In his role at LA Health Services, Dr. Raff leads initiatives to enhance clinical quality, expand access, and advance population health within the nation’s second‑largest municipal health system, serving more than 500,000 patients. He is involved in several organizations advancing healthcare innovation and leadership in California as an advisor to the Southern California Healthcare Delivery Science Center at USC and on the alumni board of the California Health Care Foundation Leadership Program. In addition, Dr. Raff serves as an Associate Professor at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine and continues to practice and teach residents as a radiologist at Olive View–UCLA Medical Center.
