“LANES Health Information Exchange Announces New Partnership With Northeast Valley Health Corporation”
One of the largest community health centers in the country will now have access to real-time electronic patient data to better serve a vulnerable patient population

LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles Network for Enhanced Services (LANES), the leading health information exchange for Los Angeles County, has announced an important Data Exchange Participation Agreement with Northeast Valley Health Corporation (NEVHC), one of the nation’s largest community health centers. Since its founding in 1971, NEVHC has grown to 14 health centers, serving nearly 70,000 people in underserved communities of the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys in Southern California.
“NEVHC providers will now have immediate access to a patient’s medical history to help make informed clinical decisions and reduce errors,” said Ali Modaressi, LANES Executive Director. “This is an important step in our community to help improve the quality of care in the greater Los Angeles area, and we couldn’t be more energized.”
Health care organizations have spent millions of dollars installing and implementing electronic health record technologies, but many of these systems are not able to talk to each other. LANES technology is a catalyst in changing that by aggregating data from disparate systems.
Through this new partnership, NEVHC will be able to safely and securely exchange patient medical records with any organization on the LANES system, which will help improve care coordination, reduce duplicative treatments while helping to avoid costly mistakes. Ultimately, it will lead to better health outcomes and improved health for the residents of Los Angeles County.
Over 500 hospital and ambulatory care sites in Los Angeles County are participating with LANES, using real-time data sharing to improve health care delivery for every patient it serves. For more information, visit www.LANESLA.org.
Los Angeles Network for Enhanced Services (LANES) is an independent, non-profit health information exchange which enables healthcare providers to seamlessly exchange patient medical records safely and securely, when and where it is needed for patient care and care coordination.
