Letter from the CEO

Happy New Year!

2024 marks our 6th year anniversary here at LANES. Over the last year, we have been proud to be part of your work delivering high quality care to millions of people across the greater Los Angeles area. We’re grateful to start the year supporting more entities than ever before, among a number of other notable advancements. We grew our participant network by 143% year over year, directly benefiting all of our participants and their patients.

As we look ahead, we anticipate yet another transformational year for healthcare in California. In just a few short weeks, on January 31, 2024, we will reach a significant milestone in the California Health and Human Services (CalHHS) Data Exchange Framework (DxF). If you’re not already familiar, the DxF defines health data sharing standards for most of the state’s healthcare organizations and is designed to help every resident in the state benefit from seamlessly coordinated care and services, regardless of where they live or receive care.

As participants, you all know that data sharing is an important component of patient care, especially across the care continuum. More specifically, it serves as a foundational element of the CalAIM program, the initiative to transform Medi-Cal to make it more equitable, coordinated, and person-centered. LANES is proud of our platform’s ability to advance important CalAIM initiatives, such as Enhanced Care Management (ECM). In addition to care coordination among health plans, clinical, mental, and social service organizations, ECM providers are using our rich quality data for meaningful use cases for efficient and effective patient care and population health.

In 2024, LANES remains deeply involved with the DxF. As a member of the CalHHS DxF Advisory Committee and Subcommittee, LANES will continue working on behalf of stakeholders such as yourself to provide ongoing input on policies and procedures related to data sharing, privacy and security, and technical standards. More work and milestones are still ahead of us to improve health outcomes in Los Angeles and contribute to efforts across the state.

Despite a busy year ahead, our priorities and passion have not changed. We are committed to streamlining care delivery and solving local and regional healthcare problems by leveraging our enriched data assets and advanced technology solutions for optimizing patient insight and population health.

It’s an exciting time for data sharing progress and advancements, and we’re so grateful to work with you during this transformative time. On behalf of my colleagues at LANES, please accept my sincere thanks for your support. It is a privilege to work with you and contribute to improving and strengthening population health in our communities.

With Gratitude,

Ali
